Disney Pixar Cars and other films receive a low grade remake

If there is something the Pixar is proud of ,more than their realistic animation capabilities ,is their ability to provide a good and apealing story to viewers from all groups.

Some people might say that the Cars’s Plot was not fully thought through – some questions like who built all these houses , what’s going inside these cars – are there any seats ? a stirring wheel? and many more.
Surprisingly , It seems that smaller and unknown studios ,do know how to appreciate a good story when they run into one, and they would might be able to provide an answer for these intriguing questions or at least provide a “fresh” angle . This may probably be the case with Video Brinquedo , a Brazilian company that have distributed some interesting “new” ideas :

The Little Cars – a story about a little town where cars act and think like people – sound familiar????

Ratatoing – A story about Marcell Toing , a mouse that is a highly gifted chef which owns a restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. This animated movie (44 min.) is an Hybrid between Disney’s Ratatouille and Flushed Away , but seems not to do justice with either one.

Well , these concepts are likely to promote the other films by the Studio such as Little Bee (bee movie?),Gladiformers (Transformers ?) ,The little Panda Fighter (Kung Fu Panda ?) and more….

Vídeo Brinquedo Ratatoing

As a “tribute” for Disney Pixar Up’s nomination for the Oscar Best Film award , Video Brinquedo decided that the film needed some retouching . This idea gave birth to : What’s UP: Balloon to the Rescue. I’m warning you guys – this video is for the strong of heart only ,so I decided not to embed it here but rather provide a link only .

Video Brinquedo has been accused of distributing films with concepts plagiarized from films by Pixar , Disney , DreamWorks , and other major studios in other countries.
It seems like these mockups are popular on the web and recieve alot of views – but not so much as flattering comments.

Animated Cars were around way before the creation of Disney Cars .
Susie is a blue coupe with a tan-cloth top. Her journey starts as a brand-new model in an automobile showroom. Susie contends with the ups and downs of life, from driving on fast-moving roadways, to finding a suitable parking space amid the many other automobiles out there.

But as time goes on, Susie begins to feel her age. When she becomes too much for her original owner to handle, she is sold to a used car lot. Her second owner is rather uncouth, and her new journey in life takes her down back-alleys in the dead of night.

One evening, a stranger carjacks Susie, and the incident ends in her colliding with a streetcar. Now a wreck, she’s towed to the junk yard. However, just when her life seems at an end, a young teenager buys her from the junk yard, and gives her a second life as a sleek and fast little hot rod.

This story and many more were , for some extent , the inspiration to the future Disney Cars Movie.
While most of the earlier characters in the animation shorts used their headlights as eyes , the little blue coupe had her eyes where the windshields are located , as the Cars Characters.

With the close release of Disney Cars toon shorts and the scheduled release of Cars 2 – the World Grand Prix in summer of 2011 , Disney-Pixar have been polishing the new characters and the release of new and exciting Disney Cars Toys.

All-new episodes of Disney Pixar’s “Cars Toons,” an animated short series directed by Academy Award-winner John Lasseter with Rob Gibbs co-directing and starring Lightning McQueen’s rusty friend Mater, will debut beginning FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20 on Disney Channel, Disney XD and ABC Family. They are titled “Unidentified Flying Mater,” “Monster Truck Mater,” “Heavy Metal Mater” and “Tokyo Mater.”

Mark Mothersbaugh (”Devo”) composed the music for three episodes and BT (”The Fast and the Furious”), a prominent composer of dance and electronic music, scored “Tokyo Mater.”

The four new stories follow the popular shorts that began debuting in October 2008 and which have reached 22.9 million Kids 2-11, or 56% of all kids in that age group in the U.S., and 67.5 million total unique viewers.

“Cars Toons” are directed by John Lasseter, (”Cars,” “Toy Story 2,” “A Bug’s Life” and “Toy Story”) and co-directed by Rob Gibbs (”Cars,” “Finding Nemo,” “Monsters, Inc” and “Toy Story 2?). Kori Rae (”The Incredibles” and “Monsters Inc.”) is the producer. Victor Navone (”Cars,” “The Incredibles,” “Finding Nemo” and “Monsters, Inc.”) co-directed the episode “Tokyo Mater.”

“Heavy Metal Mater”
Mater is a rock star in a heavy metal band. He starts out in a garage band and rises to the top with his hit song, “Dad Gum.” Lightning McQueen joins him on stage in the middle of a huge concert and they rock into history.

Pickup Mater has done a long way since his part on Disney Cars Movie and is now one of the most favorable animated characters

Mater ,Lightning McQueen’s best friend and side kick didn’t get much screen time in the Disney Cars movie , however this heart and Soul of Radiator Springs was one of the most popular and adored characters by kids all over the world. Mater’s lived in Radiator Springs his whole life. In his younger days, he used to be a real handful around town, playing pranks on everyone, tippin’ tractors, saying inappropriate things at the wrong time, but luckily he’s matured a lot since then. Mater’s a good ol’ boy with a big heart and the only tow truck in Radiator Springs. He run’s Tow Mater’s Towing and Salvage and manages the local impound lot. Though a little rusty, he has the quickest towrope in Carburetor County and is always the first to lend a helping hand and sees the bright side of any situation.

Since the release of the Movie , Mater turned into a shooting star , starring in 3 Cars Toon Shorts (Mater the Greater , Rescue Car Mater and Tokyo Mater) with an additional 3 new Cars toon to be released on ABC Channel starting this Novemeber (Unidentified Flying Mater , Monster Truck Mater , Heavy Metal Mater ).

Mater would also have a main role in the new animated sequel Cars 2 movie , in which he is involved in a case of mistaken identity.

Cars Land

A new expanssion of the Disney’s California Adventure park is scheduled to be opened around June of 2012 and as you probably guessed the new addition is Cars Land. The designated area of 12-acre land would be part of a $1.1 Billion expansion plan for DCA (Disney California Adventure Park) is known today as the Timon Parking Lot behind “A Bug’s Land” and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The new theme park ispired by the Disney-Pixar Animated movie Cars and would include new dining and shopping areas as well as new attractions : The Major Disney Cars-Themed Thrill ride :Radiator Springs Racers (similar to the Test Track ride in Walt Disney World) , and two lesser family-friendly rides : Luigi’s Roaming tires (similar to Disneyland Flying Saucers) and Tow Mater’s JunkYard Jamboree.
The new rides will include all of Disney’s ride features : Technology , Theme , Special effects , Iteractivity , Animatronics , story lines and thrills.
During the makeover Disney would also upgrade other areas of the 8 year old theme park with new movie Toy Story and Little Mermaid themed rides added to the park.
Along with the new Cars Toons , future release of Cars 2 a new line of Disney Cars Toys would be released featuring old and new characters.

Disney Cars Toys – Cars 2 movie plot released

John Lasseter, revealed the Cars 2 Plot at a Disney presentation in London. The Movie , which is the sequel of the successful animated movie Cars (2006) is scheduled to be released in Summer of 2011 and would take up the role of Mater to the next level.
Mater , Voiced by Larry the Cable Guy , which mainly appeared as a comic relief in the first movie gets upgraded from a run down tow truck to Lightning McQueen’s new Pit Boss/”wanna be spy” in a non stop world-wide comedy-spy thriller.
McQueen , the popular Disney Cars Toys character , competes in the Race of Champions which takes place in five different locations starting at Tokyo (Mount Fuji) , Germany Black Forest , Porto Corso in Italy , a 24 hour race around Paris and ends in Buckingham Palace (London). During these races ,Mater gets involved in a case of Mistaken Identity and becomes involved in a Spy thriller against Finn McMissle and his agents and ends with a action adventure twist.
The inspiration for this plot came to the Disney Pixar Maestro during his travels to Europe while he was wondering what would happen if the characters would be placed on foreign soil. The new movie is directed by Ratatouille’s Director , Brad Lewis and would surely be one of next Summer’s big hits. Disney Cars Toys would continue to follow the story and release more info in the future….
