Cars Land Update : Radiator Spring Racers Carts Test Drive Video

The testing for Radiator Springs Racers is on the go. This thrilling new attraction is set to open in 2012 with the debut of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park. Vehicle testing is an important milestone in the development process and that means we’re one big step closer to racing through this new land. Testing is expected to continue through the end of July, then the car comes off the track while construction is completed.
The bright cars you see here will each carry six guests through the twists and turns of Ornament Valley. Radiator Springs Racers covers a lot of ground – nearly half of the 12 acres in Cars Land! Check out our video and imagine what this high-speed adventure will be like.

Monster Truck Mater Preview Now Available

It seems like one of the promising Disney Cars Toons Shorts ever and some of interesting line of toys that Mattel have released.
In this new sneak peek of Monster Truck Mater courtesy of the Disney Channel and Disney XD, Tow Mater finds himself rocketing to the top of the monster truck wrastlin’ circuit as the Tormenter. Marvel as the Tormenter takes on evil monster truck baddies such as Dr. Feel Bad and Paddy O’ Concrete.

But when the goin’ gets tough, the tough get tagged in and that’s when you call upon on your partner: Frightening McMean.
Over at Mattel, the focus was on the new upcoming Cars Toon, Monster Truck Mater. On display were some previously announced Monster Truck Mater Toys such as the Monster Truck Wrastlin’ Playset and large Frightening McQueen car. New items included die cast editions of some of the characters from the short including Frightening (Lighting McQueen), Tormenter (Mater) and some of the opponents including Rastacarian, Dr. Feelbad and the I-Screamer. The I-Screamer and Tormenter displayed actually have really neat fighting moves in which they can ‘punch’ with their front wheels (no kung fu grip however). There will be additional diecast cars produced based on the short as well.

Toys Story Short To Premiere With Cars 2

TOY STORY Characters “Not Going Away Forever”; Will Appear in a Short Attached to CARS 2 , World Grand Prix

Pixar has stated many times that this Friday’s Toy Story 3 will be the last film in the franchise, and serves as the final act in what has been a very lucrative and popular trilogy. But, as with anything that makes money in Hollywood, there have been murmurings about a proposed fourth film. In an article from MSN, director Lee Unkrich makes it clears that there are no solid plans for a Toy Story 4, but that Buzz and Woody aren’t going away forever. In fact, a number of the toys from Toy Story 3 will be back next summer in an all new, untitled short film that will premier before Cars 2: World Grand Prix when it opens on June 24th, 2011.

Here’s what Lee had to say:
“Well, I really tried my best to end the story of Andy and his toys and bring that story to a close in a really nice way at the end of this film. That being said, we know that people love the characters, love Woody and Buzz, and would hate to say good-bye to them completely. I don’t know that there would ever be a Toy Story 4. We don’t have any plans for one — but we are trying to find ways to keep the characters alive. We have announced we’re going to do a short film in front of Cars 2: World Grand Prix that uses the Toy Story characters. We’re going to keep them alive; they’re not going away forever.”

The First Cars Lego Sets Are Out Featuring Lightning McQueen , Mater’s Yard , Flo’s Cafe & Mack’s Road Trip

Solidifying the recent licensing of Disney to LEGO and replacing the Mega Blocks Brand , 2010 marks the first year that LEGO will be introducing Disney-branded DUPLO for the younger set.

If you are unfamiliar with Duplo, it is like Lego but only bigger and meant for smaller hands. This may seem incongruous but the larger pieces make assembling and disassembling structures easier, and that is the special element of Lego. It allows children to not only construct a model using instructions but then also gives them options to create their own designs using those same Lego pieces. The general age recommendation for the juniorized Duplo Lego is two to six years of age.
The first Disney Cars Lego sets are already here and it looks like the Lego Guys have nailed it!!!
