Disney Cars Toys has generated $5 Billion since the 2006 release
Since the release of the Disney-Pixar animated movie Cars in June of 2006 , the global retail sales of "Cars" merchandise have generated over 5 Billion Dollars.
The sequel movie , Cars 2 , is scheduled to be released on June 24 , 2011 and based on the recent registered domain names:
WORLDGRANDPRIX-MOVIE.COM , CARSWORLDGRANDPRIX.COM , CARS2WORLDGRANDPRIX.COM , CARS2-WORLDGRANDPRIX.COM will be named "Cars 2: World Grand Prix" or similar.
In the meanwhile Disney has released multiple Cars Toon shorts featuring the Cars characters and using them as inspiration for new designs and toys.
