The First Cars Lego Sets Are Out Featuring Lightning McQueen , Mater’s Yard , Flo’s Cafe & Mack’s Road Trip

Solidifying the recent licensing of Disney to LEGO and replacing the Mega Blocks Brand , 2010 marks the first year that LEGO will be introducing Disney-branded DUPLO for the younger set.

If you are unfamiliar with Duplo, it is like Lego but only bigger and meant for smaller hands. This may seem incongruous but the larger pieces make assembling and disassembling structures easier, and that is the special element of Lego. It allows children to not only construct a model using instructions but then also gives them options to create their own designs using those same Lego pieces. The general age recommendation for the juniorized Duplo Lego is two to six years of age.
The first Disney Cars Lego sets are already here and it looks like the Lego Guys have nailed it!!!

The Disney Cars Aviators – “Look Mom – I Can Fly !!!”

The Disney-Pixar Studios Have HIGH Exceptions . Disney Cars Would Dominate Road & Skies With New Characters That Can Fly.
After the release of the fifth episode in Mater’s Tall Tales Shorts, Unidentified Flying Mater, and the recent news about the upcoming short Aviator Mater from the new Pixar studio in Vancouver- it seems like the guys at Pixar are aiming for the sky. While cars 2 , World Grand Prix , release date is getting closer , the global plot focuses more on ground vehicles , such as race cars , motorcycles and such .The open slot would be covered, therefore , by the Disney Cars Shorts.
Cannonball Mater & DareDevil McQueen take their attempts (Willingly or not) to shoot through the air in Mater The Greater . In UFM (Unidentified Flying Mater) , Mater actually learns how to fly by his new extraterrestrial friend Mator. Based on the photos released from the grand opening of the Pixar Vancouver studios , it seems that Aviator Mater or Mater The Aviator would take us through the history of flying with Cars Rising Star – Mater. Cars The Movie introduced conventional aviators such as helicopters and planes but also introduced the first flying car.

Kids Want More Disney Cars Bedtime Stories

A Research Done By Disney / Pixar World Of Cars – Read More Sleep Better
Almost two-thirds of children want their parents to spend more time reading to them before bed, and most prefer Mum’s storytelling to Dad’s, researchers said on Friday. They conducted a study that showed younger children aged 3-4 were most hungry for more stories, with over three-quarters saying they wished their parents read to them more often. More than half of all children aged 3-8 said story time was their favorite pastime with their parents. “The results of our research confirm the traditional activity of storytelling continues to be a powerful learning and emotional resource in children’s lives,” said child psychologist Richard Woolfson, who led the study commissioned by Disney/Pixar World of Cars. Storytelling ranked higher than television or video games among pastimes for kids, and 82 percent said reading a story with their parents helped them sleep better, according the survey of 500 children aged 3-8 in Britain. The best storytellers were mothers who used funny voices to illustrate different characters or made their own special sound effects to keep the story moving, researchers said. When mum and dad are not at hand, celebrities will do: over 30 percent of children said they would like to hear a bedtime story from Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, with teen idols Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus and Emma Watson trailing close behind. “It can be very difficult for parents to find the time to read with their children, but these moments can help build strong bonds and play a vital part in their child’s development,” said Woolfson.

Disney Cars Final Lap Line – Last Chance To Collect The CARS line

It’s The Final Lap And Race To The Finish!
Collect 40 New Characters From The Cars Movie,
but don’t speed by any classics you missed the first time around!

The Final Lap Series Is Probably The Last Original CARS Line that is still in production before the release date of Cars 2 , scheduled for June 24 ,2011.
The title Final Lap has nothing to do with any scene of the movie but rather implies that this is truely – the last and FINAL line of the original CARS movie. The Final Lap Cars were originally set to be target exclusive when they first appeared in late 2009 , but these new original designs found their way to other retail stores and our online store.
Eventually , based on the card back we should have more than 40 (Last count was 49) new original designs some unusual and unique like the Race Damaged Mood Springs and One Eyed Mater and some that have been out already in the Disney lenticular cars version such as Bubble Gum Mater.
