The Disney-Pixar People Have Been Leveling The Ground For The Release Of More Disney Cars Toon Shorts
Well , i might have gone overboard with the Headline , but non the less , it looks like there are some new things brewing at the Disney’s Corridors . According to Stitch Kingdom , there are signs of high action in the Disney’s Domains Department Lately . It seems like the Disney People were registering every possible combination involving the words ‘the movie.’ Many appear to be titles that Disney will distribute for DreamWorks, but others are literally screaming out future (or current) Disney projects.
Alphabetically speaking, ANT-MAN-THEMOVIE.COM comes first. Immediately rumored to have been the first Pixar project since the acquisition, Stan Lee mentioned last month on his twitter that Marvel was moving forward with the project which had been in the works for some time.
And now to our business our dear friend Tow Mater is having some thoughts about exploring the final frontier. Lunar Mater (LUNARMATER.COM), Moon Mater (MOONMATER.COM) and Right Stuff Mater (RIGHTSTUFFMATER.COM) have all been registered. We also have Mater PI (MATERPI.COM) and Investigator Mater (INVESTIGATORMATER.COM) so it appears some new Cars Toons may be on the way.
Disney Has recently signed a deal with Lego and with the approaching launch of the commerical version of WORLD OF CARS , Disney has been making all the necessary moves to expand the DISNEY CARS brand.

In the Cars Toons shorts (currently shown on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney.com), the tow truck Mater tells tall tales that inevitably get his friend Lightning McQueen into some sort of jam. In the future release of The Disney Cars Toon Short , Monster Truck Mater , Mater becomes a professional wrestler who works his way up the ranks from amateur to World Champion Monster Truck Wrestler, wrestling all kinds of characters along the way. When faced with his biggest opponent yet, Mater tags in his “tag team partner,” Frightening McMean.
Cars Toons Frightening McMean by MATTEL mixes monster trucks, wrestling, and the Disney/Pixar film “Cars” into one fun package. This toy features Lightning in his Frightening McMean monster truck wrestling persona. The larger version of Frightening McMean (Ages 3+; Available August) features a raised chasis, monster truck wheels and a custom paint job. Touch the hood of the car to invoke sounds and soundbites from the CARS Toon that inspired him.

John Lasseter Jumps To The Co-Director Seat Of Cars 2
With the recent news about changes in Cars 2 release date ,rumors that was rebutted a few days after by Disney officials – comes additional inside information that Pixar has been encountering some storyline issues on Cars 2 Plot. According the BlueSky Disney , John Lasseter has been roaming the halls of Pixar Studio in Emryville once again in order to help Brad Lewis (Ratatouille’s Producer) meet the 2011 release date.
If you were to wonder the halls of the Hat Building right now you’d find something unusual. Something that hasn’t happened in a good while. I’d say almost a couple of years. Each week you could usually find John Lasseter walking the halls at least once, more likely twice a week as he hurried from meeting to meeting before he headed off to Glendale or some other meeting. But the last month or so he’s not been seen that much. And he won’t be for another month or so. See, he’s been stuck up in Emeryville working on “Cars 2″ so that it’s ready for release next year. There have been story problems that have developed late last year and into the new year that needed to be addressed. So as of now, John is riding the film as co-director. Now, will he be listed in the credits as that when the film comes out? Not yet determined if he’ll get his name up there with that label. We will see as time starts to move closer to the release date.
Nothing to panic , this is not the first time that a Pixar animated movie has encountered story issues and probably won’t be the last . Cars 2 is still a year and a half away which leaves enough time to solve the issues that the studio encounters. I for one would very much want to have Lasseter involved in this movie as much as possible and use his valuable talent to tighten any plot loose ends.
